And He said to them, ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Gospel to all creation. (Mark 16:15)
Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations; baptise them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. (Matthew 28:19-20)
The mission of our Community, in obedience to this Divine Command, is to go forth into the whole world and preach the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. “Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16) - these are the opening words of Pope John Paul II in the introduction to his encyclical letter ‘Redemptoris Missio’, and he concludes by saying: “No believer in Christ, no institution of the Church can avoid this supreme duty: to proclaim Christ to all peoples.”
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, for He has anointed me to bring the good news to the afflicted. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives, sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim a year of favour from the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19)
We carry out our mission of evangelisation by conducting retreats, Bible classes and spiritual counselling sessions with the aim of leading people to the Sacraments and strengthening them in the Catholic Faith.
Some of our members have fully dedicated themselves for this mission, working in parishes, universities and among the religious in different parts of the world. We help people to encounter Christ in their daily life through the Sacraments, build themselves on the faith of the Apostles, and become holy temples of the Spirit of God. (Ephesians 2:20-22)
We carry out our missionary activities under the patronage of Mary, Mother of God, the Apostles Peter and Paul and supported by the heavenly intercession of all the saints. (Acts 1:14)
