The more you devote yourself to study of the sacred utterances, the richer will be your understanding of them, just as the more the soil is tilled, the richer the harvest.

St. Paul reveals the secret behind his magnificent work - the Grace of God. Discovering the excellence of God’s Grace, St. Paul emptied himself to such an extent that the streams of God's Grace flooded into his soul and soon became a mighty ocean, brimming with God's wisdom, power and love.

Jesus is happy to come with us, as truth is happy to be spoken, as life to be lived, as light to be lit, as love is to be loved, as joy to be given, as peace to be spread.

It is in giving away; not in receiving that I find joy.

Have no fear of moving into the unknown. Simply step out fearlessly knowing that the Lord is with you, and therefore no harm can befall you; all is very, very well. Do this in complete faith and confidence.

If the angels were capable of envy, they would envy us for two things: one is the receiving of Holy Communion, and the other is suffering.

'Watch yourselves, or your hearts will be coarsened by debauchery and drunkenness and the cares of life, and that day will come upon you unexpectedly. Luke 21:34

None of us knows when the Lord will visit us. If we are not watchful in prayer, the Lord warns us that we will be overtaken by love of pleasure, drink or worries. We will lose the light and will be completely taken by surprise on the day of the Lord’s visitation and will find no excuse to give Him. To avoid this sad state, let us be continuously watchful in prayer.

The Word of God is the light for the intellect and fire for the will, so that man can know and love God.
