Whosoever comes to it in piety, faith and humility, and with determination to make progress in it, will assuredly find therein and will eat the "Bread that cometh down from heaven.

To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.

Give yourself fully to God. He will use you to accomplish great things on the condition that you believe much more in His love than in your own weakness.

Prayer is a cry of gratitude and love, in the midst of trial as well as in joy.

Christ responds neither directly nor abstractly about the meaning of suffering. Human beings come to know his saving response in so far as they share in the sufferings of Christ. The response is before all else a call. It is a vocation.

Our Lord loves you and loves you tenderly; and if He does not let you feel the sweetness of His love, it is to make you more humble and abject in your own eyes.

Act as if everything depended on you; trust as if everything depended on God.

When we leave the holy banquet of Communion, we are as happy as the wise men would have been if they could have carried away the Infant Jesus.

We need to find God, and He cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass - grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence. We need silence to be able to touch souls.

Have no fear of moving into the unknown. Simply step out fearlessly knowing that I am with you, therefore no harm can befall you; all is very, very well. Do this in complete faith and confidence. 

How little known is the Merciful love of Jesus.

Trust the past to the mercy of God, the present to his love, and the future to his providence.

If there be a true way that leads to the everlasting Kingdom, it is most certainly that of suffering, patiently endured.

Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, not even if your whole world seems upset. If you find that you have wandered away from the shelter of God, lead your heart back to Him quietly and simply.

Never does our suffering make Him happy, but it is necessary for us, and so He sends it to us, while, as it were, turning away His face.... I assure you that it costs Him dearly to fill us with bitterness.

Life is one of the most beautiful titles which the Bible attributes to God. He is the living God.

There is no such thing as bad weather. All weather is good because it is God's.

The great sins of the world are superficial wounds on My Heart, but the sins of a chosen soul pierce My Heart through and through.

Give me a man who has loved, and I will tell him what God is.

If you truly want to help the soul of your neighbor, you should approach God first with all your heart. Ask Him simply to fill your heart with charity, the greatest of all virtues; with it you can accomplish what you desire.
