The greatness and holiness of the Lord

“I shall display My greatness and holiness and bring the many nations to acknowledge Me; and they will know that I am Yahweh.” Ezekiel 38:23

The Lord wishes to display His greatness and His holiness. His greatness because even though He sits on a high and lofty throne, yet He dwells with the lowliest and most despised of men; His holiness because He is unprovoked by human wickedness, ingratitude and coldness, returning love for coldness, showering blessing even on the wicked and ungrateful. His great mercy and holy dealing with men bring all men to acknowledge that He is indeed the Lord God.
