The Creator accepts a shameful death from His own creature

April 6, 2017“But He emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, becoming as human beings are; and being in every way like a human being, He was humbler yet, even to accepting death, death on a Cross.” Philippians 2:7-8
For the Son of God, the Creator of the cosmos to become man, a tiny speck in creation, Paul writes, “He emptied Himself”. Jesus not only took our weak human nature, but humbly accepted death from men who not only failed to recognise Him as God by His infinite power but also condemned Him to die a shameful death on a Cross.
