On being hated by the world

“If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you do not belong to the world, because my choice of you has drawn you out of the world, that is why the world hates you.” John 15:19

We will belong either to the world or to Jesus. If we belong to the world, we will be among the world's favoured ones and will enjoy its appreciation and love. But once Jesus has chosen us, the world senses the change that has taken place within us and starts to hate us because we join in its sinful ways no more, rather we start to expose and condemn them.
