February 13, 2017He now went up onto the mountain and summoned those he wanted. So they came to him and he appointed twelve; they were to be his companions and to be sent out to proclaim the message. Mark 3:13-14
We read in the Scriptures that Jesus called those whom He wanted. The call and the grace is absolutely Christ's. We are no one to question God. It is written in Scripture, "I will have mercy on those whom I have mercy" (Romans 9:16) How blessed are those who receive this call, and still more, how much more blessed are those who hear it and come to Him and become His companions. What glory, what joy awaits them! Let us rejoice that we too have been loved, called and chosen by Christ.
