John’s Witness

John the Baptist was sent by God into the world with a very specific mission: he was to be the forerunner of the Christ, the Son of God. The forerunner’s witness was very crucial indeed, since the most important moment in the history of mankind was to take place - God becoming man. All those who paid attention to this faithful witness became believers of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, who was close to the Father’s heart before the ages began.
