It is Mary who has chosen the better part

“The Lord answered, ‘Martha, Martha,’ He said, ‘you worry and fret about so many things, and yet few are needed, indeed only one. It is Mary who has chosen the better part, and it is not to be taken from her.’” Luke 10:41-42

Mary refreshed the Heart of Jesus by sitting at His feet and listening to His Words, while Martha tried in vain to serve His Body without attending to His Heart. Many of us are also very busy with our daily activities, including housework, office work, school or academic work, social work or charity work and so much more - but Jesus whispers to each one of us: “You worry and fret about so many things, and yet few are needed, indeed only one.” Therefore, in the midst of our busy lives, let us try our best to keep our heart close to Jesus. With Mary, let us also choose the better part!
