Happiness in suffering with Jesus for the sake of the Church

“It makes me happy to be suffering for you now, and in my own body to make up all the hardships that still have to be undergone by Christ for the sake of His Body, the Church.” Colossians 1:24

Once Saint Paul saw the Crucified Christ, his heart melted in love for Him. No suffering was too great for him. Indeed, he welcomed the chance to suffer in order to strengthen the Body of Christ, the Church. If we accept sufferings for the sake of Christ and His Church, we will surely be filled with a deep joy, love and peace. So together with Saint Paul, let us also rejoice when suffering comes our way.
