Uprightness fills us with hope and strength to rise up again

“For though the upright falls seven times, he gets up; the wicked are the ones who stumble in adversity.” Proverbs 24:16
This verse reveals many things to us: one of them is that even the upright may have falls in their spiritual lives. Seven falls signify numerous falls. So many falls should have completely destroyed him, but he gets up each time - his uprightness which springs from his faith in God, imparts to him the hope and strength to rise each time. The unfortunate wicked on the other hand, are devoid of strength and help when they stumble in adversity.
