Thursday in the 1st Week of Lent

“All who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God.” Romans 8:14

What great love the Father has lavished on us by letting us be called His children. But who exactly are God’s children? All who are guided by the Holy Spirit are the children of God. So let us examine ourselves: Are we truly guided by the Holy Spirit? If we are, then we should have the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness, gentleness and self-control. May the Lord grant us His Spirit so that we may remain as His children.
