Persistence will make him get up and give his friend all he wants

November 13, 2016“I tell you, if the man does not get up and give it to him for friendship’s sake, persistence will make him get up and give his friend all he wants.” Luke 11:8
In the Gospel, there is the parable of a man who made his friend get up and do what he wanted at an inconvenient time in the night. Jesus tells us this parable to make us understand that even the most difficult requests will be heard if we have but one virtue - loving and earnest persistence. Let us be persevering in our prayers, fully confident that the Lord will always grant all that is best for us.
