God is Love

Whoever fails to love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8
God is Love! Whoever comes into contact with God or claims to know God will be overwhelmed by His Love, which is His self-annihilation. God is Love, He annihilates Himself by pouring Himself out on all His creatures. We see the height of His self-annihilation in the death of God on the Cross. By dying, He gives us life; by being broken, He heals our divisions; by emptying Himself, He grants us His fulness.
