Discourses coming from God

“Listen willingly to any discourse coming from God, do not let wise proverbs escape you. If you see a man of understanding, visit him early, let your feet wear out his doorstep.” Sirach 6:35-36. When the man of God speaks, it is evident that His words come forth not from himself, but from the One who has sent him. His words carry authority, grace and are full of the Holy Spirit. We should listen to such discourses with eagerness and carry away from them as many spiritual treasures as possible so that we can ponder over them and put them into practice.
