Discipline, knowledge, correction and wisdom

“Whoever loves discipline, loves knowledge, stupid are those who hate correction.” Proverbs 12:1. Of the foremost importance in our lives is the acquiring of discipline. Discipline must extend its sway in every area of our lives - our conduct, outlook, thoughts and desires. Such discipline,  inspired by the Holy Spirit and quite often imparted to us through sharp rebukes and corrections from a spiritual father prepares us for receiving Divine Knowledge. If, alas, we hate this inspired correction, we will indeed miss the way to knowledge and remain unlearned fools.
