Christ is our only hope

“I rely, my whole being relies, Lord, on Your promise.” (Psalm 130:5) The Psalmist in his state of distress and sorrow, waits on the Lord in complete trust for his salvation and deliverance. “And in his word do I hope” - In his promise concerning the coming Messiah, Christ, and salvation by him; concerning the pardon of sin through him, and eternal life by him. This is the only hope of man, the Saviour of all; the object, ground, and foundation of hope, of all blessings, of grace and of glory.
